Borderline visible. AI bots can crawl MemMachine, but the structured-data signals are thin - you are at real risk of being skipped when buyers ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for a recommendation.

from our crawl and measurement
MemMachine is a business whose own site puts it this way: "MemMachine is the open-source memory layer for advanced AI agents, enabling them to learn, remember, and adapt." When AI engines look at it, they find little to work with. It scores 4.9 out of 10.
The site does the on-page work well, with structured data on the page (Organization), an llms.txt file for AI models, a sitemap.
Our monitoring has logged 4 AI crawler visits here: the engines come, the question is what they find.

Your AEO score measures whether AI search engines - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini - can actually read your site and cite it in answers. Roughly two-thirds of sites are invisible to them. At 4.9/10, MemMachine is crawlable but under-signaled - fixable, and the signals above are where to start.
What is MemMachine, and what makes it unique?
MemMachine is an open-source, multi-layered memory system for AI agents.
Is MemMachine for developers or end users?
MemMachine is primarily designed for Agent developers and organizations building AI applications. It provides a flexible and scalable memory system that can be integrated into various AI models, allowing developers to enhance their applications with advanced memory capabilities.
Why are these capabilities needed if they're becoming available by frontier labs like OpenAI?
Because a frontier lab’s memory service keeps the memory, and its memory service does not work with other models. Many organizations work with multiple models, including specialized models deployed in its private environment, including its VPC in the cloud and its own on-prem data center. They desire a memory system that can support all of these models.
How does MemMachine handle data privacy and security?
MemMachine is designed with security in mind. The open-source version can be deployed in your private cloud or on-premises environment, giving you full control over your data.
Who is driving development of MemMachine?
The project was initially incubated by MemVerge to its current state. The project is now community-driven, and we welcome contributors of all backgrounds. MemVerge will continue to assign its engineering team to improve the memory system and support community efforts.
