What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis is the scientific study of how learning and environment shape everyday behavior. Where do ABA sessions typically take place?

Sessions occur wherever support is most meaningful, including a person’s home, community, school, workplace, or other natural settings. Novus does not operate a clinic. Instead, our behavior analysts and technicians meet clients in the environments where skills will be used. This approach allows us to teach functional skills in real situations and provide support that aligns with each individual’s daily life.

What happens in an ABA therapy session?

Each session is tailored to the individual treatment plan developed after a comprehensive assessment. Sessions may include teaching communication skills, practicing coping strategies, building social skills through role play, working on daily living tasks, or addressing challenging behaviors using positive, least intrusive strategies.

Do you collaborate with schools, physicians, or other providers?

Yes. Collaboration is a core part of ethical and effective ABA practice.
