What’s the difference between Google One and Google Drive?

Google Drive is a way to organize your files. Google One is a subscription that gives you more storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.

Can I use Google One if I’m not a member?

You can back up data on your Android or iOS phone, and also clean up space in your Google Account using the storage manager. If you get a Google One plan, you’ll unlock additional features like expanded cloud storage and member benefits.

What’s the difference between Google One cloud storage and the cloud storage that comes with every Google Account?

Every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage for Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. When you subscribe to Google One, your total storage increases to 100 GB or more depending on the plan you choose — which you can share with up to 5 other people.

What’s the difference between YouTube Premium individual and YouTube Premium Lite plans?

The YouTube Premium individual plan unlocks all of YouTube and YouTube Music ad-free, offline, and in the background. Enjoy every Premium feature across all content types. The YouTube Premium Lite plan is a good fit for you if you mainly watch creator content. Music videos, concerts, and songs may still have ads and won't be available offline or in the background.

What's the difference between Google One and Google Workspace Individual?

Google Workspace Individual includes more premium features to help individual business owners run and grow their businesses. Google One is a consumer subscription plan that gives you more storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos, plus extra Google benefits and features. The Google One Premium plan comes with a limited number of Google Workspace Individual features, like longer group calls for Google Meet and enhanced appointment scheduling in Google Calendar.

Who can I share my Google One membership with?

For the Basic plan and above, you can share Google One with up to 5 other people at no extra cost (so 6 total, including you). When you create a new family group, you can add or remove other family members. Certain benefits are only available to the plan manager. Family plan members on a Google AI Pro plan can enjoy AI benefits and features at no extra cost. Learn more .
