How does a terrarium work without air?

It actually has air inside. The plants recycle it naturally through photosynthesis, using carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen during the day. Water also cycles inside the glass by evaporating and condensing, creating a self-sustaining mini ecosystem that stays balanced when kept in indirect light. help

Will the plants survive if I keep them in the box for a few days?

While it can work, leaving them wrapped too long can cause stress or damage. help

How to water?

Start with less water than you think, you can always add more later. Overwatering is much harder to fix. A few light sprays with our spray bottle is sufficient. If pouring water, do not drench soil! Just enough to make soil slightly damp. help

Why use the lid?

The lid keeps the ecosystem inside cycling forever without interference. The cork lid will still allow water to evaporate over time but much slower. help

How long should I keep the light on?

The plants do not require this LED for growth.The LED is meant for decoration and ambience.Use it when you want to admire your terrarium or display it.
