What is a MagnaPool® magnesium mineral pool?

MagnaPool® replaces traditional chlorine systems with a magnesium mineral blend that conditions the water naturally. The result is softer, smoother water that's gentler on your skin, hair, and eyes. It's better for the environment too — lower chemical load and no harsh chlorine smell. Most Barrier Reef Pool owners who upgrade to MagnaPool® say they notice the difference from the first swim.

Why do you manage the landscaping as well?

Because most homeowners finish their pool build and then spend six to twelve months trying to find a landscaper who'll show up. We manage pool installation and full backyard landscaping as one project — same team, same timeline. The whole outdoor space gets finished together, not in stages over a year.

What sizes are available?

Our Billabong Pool packages come in 6.2m, 7.2m, and 7.5m. We'll help you work out what fits your block and suits your backyard during the free site quote. Other shapes and sizes from the full Barrier Reef range are also available — download the catalogue or speak to our team.

Do I need building approval for a pool in Canberra?

Yes. All pool installations in NSW and the ACT require building approval. The process involves submitting drawings and plans to council before construction can begin. We manage this entirely — Free Building Approval is included in every pool purchase, covering both NSW and ACT. You don't deal with council at all.
