What is a Winch Machine?

A Winch Machine is a mechanical pulling and lifting device built around a wire rope drum that winds and unwinds rope under controlled power to move, position, or hold heavy loads along a defined path. Yes, with appropriate design considerations. Winches used for vertical lifting require a positive-holding brake — not just a friction brake — and the rope reeving arrangement must be designed for the vertical load.
