What does it cost to build a custom home in New Brunswick or the Maritimes?

Custom homes we build start around $300 per square foot and can reach $500 or more for complex, high-performance designs. Where your project lands depends on the design, the site, and your selections. During Planning & Pre-Construction we price your actual design against your actual site, so the number you approve is the number we build to.

How long does it take to build a custom home?

Plan on roughly 10 to 14 months from first conversation to keys: design, planning, and permitting typically take 2 to 4 months, and construction itself 6 to 10 months depending on size and complexity. Start planning in fall or winter and you can break ground in spring and be home before the next winter.

What warranty and insurance come with a Pythagore build?

Every home comes with a 10-Year Atlantic Home Warranty covering major structural defects. The company carries full general liability and course-of-construction insurance through Intact Insurance, and we verify that every subcontractor on your project carries their own liability coverage.

Do you take on renovations, or only new homes?

Both. Additions, whole-home transformations, and structural renovations get the same engineering-led planning as a new build, which matters even more in renovation work, where the biggest risks are hidden inside existing walls. We tell you honestly when a renovation makes sense and when rebuilding is the smarter investment.

How involved will I be in the building process?

As involved as you want to be. Decisions come to you in a structured sequence, and our private client portal shows real-time photos, progress updates, and approvals, so you always know where your project stands, whether you live nearby or out of province.
