What are the RoR development processes you follow?

We do Agile Development, and we break that into a Work Back Schedule for projects. We have an internal ERP tool called VisionCarma that we use for project and task management, quality control, task ratings etc.

What information do you need before you start coding an app?

If it’s a fix bid engagement, we required project scope to be very clear. We ensure the functional specification document is in place for the developer that covers the UI and functional behaviour is in place, as well as architectural decisions, coding standards and common methods to be used etc. UI designs to be done and approved by the client is a pre-requisite before development.And also we understand the entire project design and scalability so that database architecture is done properly and service design is done. We have an architectural checklist we use before we start coding/development
