RecForge II records in MP3, OGG Vorbis, FLAC, OPUS, M4A (AAC), WMA, WAV (PCM) and Speex . For each format you can pick the sample rate, the bitrate (where applicable) and choose mono or stereo.
Can I extract the audio of a video?
Yes. RecForge II decodes .mp4, .mkv, .avi, .mov, .webm, .flv, .ogv, .wmv, .3gp, .m4v and more, and lets you re-encode the audio track in any of the supported formats.
Does the app work in the background?
Yes. Recording continues when the screen is off and a foreground notification keeps the session alive (Android requires the notification to be visible during recording). Media buttons on a headset can pause and resume.
Can I schedule a recording?
You can schedule a recording for a future date and time, choose its codec and duration, and optionally repeat it on a schedule. The app re-arms its alarms after a device reboot.
Where are my recordings stored?
By default, RecForge II writes to the Music public folder . Files there are visible over USB and survive an uninstall. You can also use the app's private folder; in that case files are deleted when you uninstall, so back up regularly. The path is shown in Settings .
Why does the free version show ads?
The free version of RecForge II is supported by ads served via the LevelPlay / IronSource SDK (with Unity Ads and Vungle as networks). The first launch shows a Google UMP consent form where you can choose between personalized and non-personalized ads, and you can update your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy .
Is there an ad-free version?
Yes — an in-app Premium bundle removes ads. There is also a separate RecForge II Pro listing on the Play Store. See RecForge II Pro on the Play Store for details.
Does RecForge II send my recordings somewhere?
No. Audio never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it. RecForge II does not upload, sync or back up your recordings to any server. See the Privacy Policy for details.
