How do the Payment Rings work?

Our Wearables use contactless NFC technology to enable secure transactions. Simply link your ring or bracelet to your preferred payment method through our app or partner bank, and tap it on any contactless payment terminal to complete a purchase—just like a contactless credit or debit card.

What is NFC and how does it work in Payment Rings?

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology that enables contactless payments. Our rings and bracelets have a secure NFC chip inside, allowing you to pay by simply tapping your wearable on any contactless payment terminal.

Why don’t I need to charge my Payment Ring?

Unlike smartwatches or phones, NFC wearables don’t have batteries . That’s because they use a special chip that’s powered by the payment terminal itself . When you tap your ring or bracelet, the terminal sends a tiny burst of energy that activates the chip just long enough to complete the payment — no need for charging, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi. Plus, remember that it's totally maintenance free, just slip it on and forget!

How secure is my Payment Ring?

Very secure. Your device uses the same contactless technology and banking-grade encryption as your debit or credit card — but with extra layers of protection. Here’s how it keeps your payments safe: Tokenization : Your actual card number is never stored on the ring. Instead, a unique encrypted token is used — so even if the ring is lost or stolen, your real card details remain protected. No battery, no signal : The ring can’t be hacked or tracked remotely — it only activates when it’s near a payment terminal. Fully under your control : You can pause, unpair, or deactivate your ring at any time

Can I use my Payment Ring globally?

Yes! Our rings, keyring and bracelets work anywhere that accepts contactless payments (Visa, Mastercard, or other supported networks) . However, we recommend checking with your bank for any international transaction fees as some credit cards / debit cards charge an international fee, and some don't!

What should I do if I lose my Payment Ring?

Firstly, don't panic! If your payment ring or bracelet is lost or stolen, you can instantly deactivate it via our mobile app or by contacting our customer support team. Once deactivated, it cannot be used for payments.

Which banks are supported by RingPay®?

Our payment ring supports contactless Visa and Mastercard cards from a wide range of banks via Fidesmo Pay and Curve . This includes major issuers across the UK and Europe.
