How do I measure my partner's ring size secretly?

Borrow one of their rings (from the correct finger) and use our 'Diameter Measurement' tool to find the size.

What if my knuckle is larger than my finger base?

Measure both your knuckle and the base of your finger, then choose a size in between. The ring needs to slide over the knuckle but fit snugly on the base.

Can I resize a ring if it doesn't fit?

Most metal rings (gold, silver, platinum) can be resized by a jeweler. However, rings with stones all around (eternity bands) or made of titanium/tungsten cannot be resized.

How tight should a ring fit?

A ring should fit snugly on your finger so it won't fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle with some resistance.
