How do I identify a rock with Rock Identifier?

Simply take a photo of any rock, mineral, or crystal using the Rock Identifier app, or upload an existing photo from your album. The AI analyzes the texture, color, and structure and gives you an instant identification with detailed geological information.

How do I delete unwanted pictures from the app?

To delete pictures, open your collection in the app, tap on the photo you want to remove, and select the delete option. You can also swipe left on any photo in your gallery to quickly delete it.

Does Rock Identifier only accept newly-taken pictures or can I select pictures from my album?

You can use both! Rock Identifier allows you to take new photos directly in the app or select existing pictures from your device's photo album. Simply tap the camera icon to take a new photo, or choose the gallery option to select from your saved images.

How do I share my identification with friends?

After identifying a rock, tap the share button on the results screen. You can share via social media, messaging apps, email, or copy the identification details. The shared content includes the rock name, properties, and the photo you identified.

How can I save photos I take in the app?

Photos are automatically saved. All photos you take or identify in Rock Identifier are automatically saved to your collection within the app.

One of the identifications is not accurate, what should I do?

Try taking another photo from a different angle for better results. If the identification is still not accurate, please let us know through our Contact page so we can improve our AI.

How to restore my Premium membership on a new device?

To restore your Premium membership, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used for the original purchase. Then go to Settings > Restore Purchases. Your Premium features will be automatically restored once verified.

Do I need to sign up to use Rock Identifier?
