Security with Tom describes itself simply: "Security with Tom is a personal blog by Tom Rolvers, a security consultant from the Netherlands, dedicated to exploring and sharing insights on Microsoft Security products." To AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, though, it is barely visible: it scores 4.6 out of 10.

On the page itself the strengths are clear: a clear heading structure and sitemaps and entity links AI can follow. It is passable on a partly stated business identity. What holds it back is structured data describing the business, credibility markers like credentials or reviews and the technical files AI engines look for, such as llms.txt or an open robots.txt.

Off the page there is only faint evidence that only a handful of sites link to it and the domain is only lightly established. Beyond that, AI engines do not yet recognise it as a distinct business, there is no press coverage to draw on, nobody is discussing it where AI engines look and it does not come up on Reddit. Those are earned elsewhere on the web, not fixed on the site itself.
