Is the service really free?

Yes, Selectra's comparison service is completely free for consumers. We are funded by commissions from energy suppliers when customers switch through our platform. How long does it take to switch supplier?

Will I lose power when I switch?

No. There is no interruption to your electricity or gas supply when you switch. The physical infrastructure (wires, pipes, meters) stays the same - only the company that bills you changes.

Can I switch if I'm renting?

Yes. If the energy account is in your name, you are free to switch supplier at any time. If the account is in your landlord's name, you'll need to check your lease agreement or ask your landlord.
