What is Citerank?

Citerank is the AI citation scanner at citability.dev. It runs prompt-based audits across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini and produces your CiteRank score (0-100), which measures how often AI engines cite your site. Citerank is the brand; citability.dev is the domain it runs on (formerly referred to as Citability).

What does citability.dev measure?

citability.dev measures whether frontier AI answer engines cite, mention, or omit a brand when asked commercial and informational questions. Every measured answer is preserved as a signed receipt.

What is AVR?

AVR stands for AI Visibility Readiness, the open-source framework citability.dev uses to score whether AI answer engines find, recommend, and cite a brand. The framework produces a 0-100 rollup called the AVR Score, which combines visibility, recommendability, and citability from query-by-model receipts. The acronym AVR refers to the framework; the score is referenced as the AVR Score and takes no separate long-form expansion.

Which models are covered?

The canonical model registry covers ChatGPT (gpt-5.1), Claude (claude-4.5-sonnet), Perplexity (sonar-pro), Gemini (gemini-2.5-pro) with version pinning on every receipt.

What tools measure domain citation rate?

Citability measures domain citation rate directly: it runs real queries across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini, records whether each engine cites, mentions, or omits your domain, and rolls the result into a 0-100 AVR Score backed by signed receipts. Most legacy SEO and rank-tracking tools measure blue-link position only and cannot report AI citation rate.
