What is the best way to wear the GS1 CGM?

For an optimal glucose monitoring experience, we recommend wearing it on the upper back of your arm (the fatty part of the arm). It’s also good practice to bend your arm toward yourself when inserting the GS1 CGM. Avoid extending your arm straight, as this may tighten the arm’s muscles and lead to potential pain or bleeding.

How long can the GS1 CGM be used?

Each GS1 CGM is designed to last for 14 days to ensure optimal accuracy and a comfortable wearing experience. After 14 days of use, the SIBIONICS app will prompt you to replace the sensor with a new one.

Is it painful to insert the GS1 CGM?

No. The SIBIONICS GS1 sensor applicator features a dual-spring design. Compared to single-spring designs, this allows users to insert the sensor easily—with faster speed and less pain.

Can I bathe, shower, swim, or exercise while wearing the CGM?

Yes. The GS1 CGM sensor is waterproof and can be worn while bathing, showering, swimming, or exercising. However, the sensor must not be submerged in water deeper than 1 meter, and it must not stay underwater for more than 1 hour.

Is the GS1 CGM system CE marked?

Yes. The SIBIONICS GS1 CGM system obtained EU MDR CE certification in 2023.

How much glucose data can be stored in the app and used for AGP reports?

The latest version of the SIBIONICS app stores all data from your past sensors, which is accessed via our secure cloud database. You can select 7, 14, 30, or 90 days of glucose data to generate your AGP reports.
