What is superconducting computing?

Superconducting computing cryo-cools silicon chip materials to the point where the materials superconduct - wires with zero electrical resistance and gates with massively less switching energy.

How is Snowcap different from quantum?

Both quantum computers and Snowcap’s platform use superconducting fabrication and cooling techniques. The difference is that Snowcap is building a platform for standard digital chip designs - for example traditional CPUs, GPUs, or AI inferencing accelerators.

Will Snowcap build hardware or license tech?

How does this reduce data center power usage?

Superconducting circuits use fundamentally less energy, with switching gates that use 5 orders of magnitude less energy, and wires that have zero resistance.

What materials are used? Is this high temperature superconducting (HTS)?

Snowcap uses standard fabrication facilities and no exotic materials. Snowcap technology is based on LTS / low temperature superconducting technology at 4.5 Kelvin.
