Why are So you Start and Kimsufi now grouped under OVHcloud?

The So you Start, Kimsufi, and Rise brands were developed to meet the unique needs of customers, and are similar to specific generations in our Advance range. There is a shift in needs today, and these three ranges are all centred around the reuse of first-generation servers for our Eco range. Simply put, we have grouped all the solutions under OVHcloud, without changing the range names — Rise (2nd life), So you Start (3rd life) and Kimsufi (4th life).

How do I get support for my server?

You can submit a support ticket if you bought your servers on soyoustart.com. You can also reach us by phone if you bought your servers on OVHcloud. More details are available on our support page.

Why wasn’t my So you Start account migrated?

The automatic migration, planned after the discontinuation of So you Start services on this website, has been delayed due to technical issues. To manage your servers on OVHcloud, we recommend migrating your data to a new server purchased on eco.ovhcloud.com. Before transferring your data to another server, first create a backup of your current files, then use migration tools recommended by OVHcloud to transfer the files to the new server. Can I use my So you Start or Kimsufi account to order on eco.ovhcloud.com?

No, you will need to create a new OVHcloud account when you place your order on eco.ovhcloud.com. Your current So you Start or Kimsufi accounts will stay active, so you can continue managing your previous servers.

What changes can So you Start customers expect with the move to the OVHcloud Eco range?

So you Start customers can continue managing their servers from their regular Control Panel with the same services, options, and technical support. On eco.ovhcloud.com, you can customise So You Start servers by adding bandwidth and expanding storage space. Take the first steps to become familiar with the OVHcloud Control Panel.

Can I keep my So you Start server? If yes, until what date?

Yes, you can keep your dedicated server until you decide to cancel it. There is currently no end of service planned for this space.

Can I continue managing my server as usual via the Control Panel?

Yes, the So you Start servers can still be managed from the So you Start Control Panel. No changes will be made to the websites and Control Panel for now. Depending on the range of your dedicated server, you can utilise various features in the OVHcloud Control Panel, including additional IP addresses and storage space. These options may sometimes differ from those offered on the ovhcloud.com website.

Will the faulty components of my dedicated server be replaced if there is an issue?

Yes, in the event of a technical issue with your So you Start server, our team will replace any faulty components.
