Where did this idea come from and why do it?
This idea came from working at a conference as a behind the scenes tech support guy. It was a lot of running around with disconnected, poorly designed and developed systems.
Who can use it?
The aim is for any company/group to use it for a conference. While it’s a technology demonstrator there is no better way to show how good it is by someone using it. It will be open source and inexpensive to use. My intention is to make it free, but if someone wants me to host it for them, then I will need to cover costs + a little.
So what happens next?
I have the initial design sketches and some C4 design work complete. Currently 10 distinct projects have been identified and 2 database designs need to be fleshed out. There may be more projects to add as I’m working on the premise that the information display devices will be some kind of smart TV with a web browser in it.
