What is a portable nebulizer, and how does it work?

A portable nebulizer is a compact, handheld device that turns liquid medication or saline into a fine mist you can breathe in through a mask or mouthpiece. Does insurance cover the TruNeb Portable Nebulizer?

We don’t take insurance at this time, but you can purchase our nebulizer and saline with an FSA or HSA card.

Is a portable nebulizer okay for kids?

Yes. Our neb can be used for all ages, and young children often do better with the TruNeb Portable Nebulizer because it doesn’t make noise.

How do I maintain and replace nebulizer parts?

Always run 3-6 ml of distilled water through the device after each treatment to prevent the mesh from getting clogged. Depending on how often the nebulizer is used and how it is cared for, the mesh nozzle may need to be replaced every 1-3 months for best performance. You can set up automatic shipment for savings, or just order a new nozzle as needed. Additional accessories are available for purchase .

What medications can I put in a mesh nebulizer?

TruNeb™ is designed for use with liquid medications or saline solutions that are for nebulizer use. If your medication is intended to be nebulized, it can be used with TruNeb™. Use one medication at a time unless directed otherwise, and clean the device after each treatment as instructed in the user manual.
