Tuxxin is a portmanteau — a combination of two Linux-inspired handles: "Tux" (the name of the Linux penguin mascot) and "Nix" (short for Unix/Linux). Linux is at the core of everything we build, and Tux is our company mascot, which is why you'll see the penguin in our logo.
