User Agent Design describes itself simply: "An ongoing project by Violet Peña. It defines her own design and architecture principles. It seeks to improve how we work on and with the internet." To AI engines like ChatGPT and Perplexity, though, it is barely visible: it scores 3.5 out of 10.

On the page it is passable on a workable page structure. What holds it back is a clearly stated business identity, the technical files AI engines look for, such as llms.txt or an open robots.txt, sitemaps and entity links AI can follow, structured data describing the business and credibility markers like credentials or reviews.

Off the page, almost no other sites link to it, the domain does not yet read as established, AI engines do not yet recognise it as a distinct business, there is no press coverage to draw on, nobody is discussing it where AI engines look and it does not come up on Reddit. Those are earned elsewhere on the web, not fixed on the site itself.

The site links to no social profiles, so there is nothing tying the brand to a wider presence.
