Why are we building Veena?

We all know someone who can sing really well or play an instrument but struggles to make a full track because they don't know how to use complex software or don't have access to expensive studios and producers. So we built Veena to help those artists create music in a way that's intuitive to their creative process.

What makes Veena different from other DAWs?

Veena is the first DAW designed from the ground up with AI integration. Instead of just adding AI features to an existing platform, we built every aspect of Veena to work seamlessly with AI Agents, making music creation more intuitive and powerful.

Isn't AI in art bad?

Yup it is. We think so too. But we also think that AI can be a powerful tool for artists when used collaboratively. That's why we're committed to transparency, ethical AI practices, and giving artists full control over their creative process. Veena is designed to augment human creativity, not replace it.

Do I need any music theory knowledge to use Veena?

Not at all! Veena's AI understands music theory so you don't have to. You can create professional-sounding music by humming melodies, describing the mood you want, or even just experimenting. The AI handles the technical aspects while you focus on creativity.

Can I use my existing VST plugins with Veena?

Not right now. But we're working on full VST and AU plugin support to allow you to integrate your favorite instruments and effects into Veena. In the meantime, Veena comes with a suite of high-quality built-in sounds and effects to get you started.

How does the AI CoProducer actually work?

Think of it like Cursor for music production. The AI CoProducer is an autonomous agent that reads your entire project — every track, every note, every effect — and builds on it intelligently. It creates tracks layer by layer: drums first, then bass, then chords, then melody. It can generate original audio, create MIDI, produce sound effects, build effect chains, analyze your audio for key and tempo, and even convert your voice into other instruments. At every step, it gives you options to choose from — it never makes final creative decisions for you.

Is my music data secure and private?

Absolutely. Your music and creative data are encrypted and stored securely. We never share your compositions or use them to train our models. You maintain full ownership and control of everything you create.

Can I collaborate with other musicians using Veena?

Yes, you can collaborate with other musicians using Veena. You can share your project and build your song together in real time.
